Degree symbol (°): copy and paste
The degree sign (°) is a small raised circle used for temperature (20 °C, 68 °F), angles (90°) and geographic coordinates (50° N). It is a single character, not a superscript letter o.
For angles, write the number and sign together (45°). For temperatures, style guides differ: SI puts a space before the unit (20 °C), most everyday writing does not (20°C). Avoid the masculine ordinal º and the ring ˚, which look similar but are different characters.
